Hi There,

I am using WMIX v2. I created about 50 connection to different workstaions. I created a report templates on the following query.

When I right click on the container and select report I cannot see all my machines (some missing). I tried highting all machines and right click report also the same.

I went ahead with the available machine that I see but some machine does not have the csv output, only the html are generated. And some does not even have any output. I went straight to individual machine to generate the report, html generated but not csv.

Select FreeSpace,Size From Win32_LogicalDisk

Please advise. Thanks.

I tried your configuration here and failed to duplicate the problem. I created a report template based on your query and executed it on a container which has 9 machines.

  • The resulting HTML reports shows an entry for each machine (even it the query failed on them).
  • A CSV file was generated for each machine which succeeded.
Do the following:

  1. In the Favorites section, double click on one of the machine which did not appear in the report.
Does it connect or does it report an error?

  2. If it connect, select the WMI Query Tab and run your query. Does it work? Do you see instances?
As a side note: If you have the full Goverlan Remote Administration Suite, you should use the Scope Action feature to run reports as it is much - much - more powerful, and it fully supports WMI as well.

9 machine are ok but I have 50 machines.
I can see 50 machines in the favorite container but when right click report some machines are missing in the check boxes dialog.

It does not have error when try to connect from favorite for those which did not appear. When connected I run the query and get the result but does not generated the csv.

I have the suite. How to I insert the credential of individual machines in the scope?

If some of the machine are not included in the report scope, it might be due to the way some of these machines are configured in the Favorites section. I need to check on the configuration of your Favorites Folder and see why some machines are not being included in the group scope.

Right-click on the Favorites parent folder and select Export. Save the Container's content into a file and email it to us at support@goverlan.com with a reference to this thread (WMIX v2 > Not all display when select from container and csv is not output from some ).

To execute a Scope Action using LOCAL CREDENTIALS of client machines:
You can run a scope action under the local credentials of client machines. The only restriction is that all client machines must share a common administrative user ID and password (for instance Administrator).
  • Right-click on a scope action and select Run As...
  • Under User name, specify a '.' for the realm and the user ID. For instance:  .\Administrator
  • Specify the password.

I have sent the export.

Every machine password is unique. So I can't use scope?

Any solution if password is unique?

If every client machine has a different admin password and they do not belong to a domain, then you need to pre-configure the admin password in the Goverlan Credential Manager.

Open the Credential Manager (Main Command Button > Credential Manager or Settings > Network Settings > Alternate Credentials > Credential Manager), and use the Add button to configure the unique admin account/password for each machine.

Goverlan will then use these credentials for every connection.
