I am trying to setup the "Goverlan Central Server" but we are not allow to add Service Location Record cos it is not control by locally? Is there another way to do it? The Server is registered in the DNS.

Thanks

Daniel

In order for the GCS (Goverlan Central Server) to be detected by the Goverlan Application, a DNS SRV Record must be created in either the primary DNS Zone that the machines belong to, or in an Active Directory Site DNS Zone.

There is no other way to register a GCS.

What do you mean by 'we are not allowed to add a Service Location Record'? Are DNS Services outsourced for your company?

I am sorry but I still don't know what that means.
Who is Global versus Local?
